Am crazy about The Who, especially Roger Daltry!

Dear Freebree, Am concerned about your inability to connect with people. Is this all people, or just some people? If it is all people, I strongly advise you to learn all you can about Asperger's Syndrome, most of whom have difficulty connecting with people. Many of them can not look people in the eye. About your depression . . . is this transgender related or have this been an issue in all areas of your life? There are forms of depression that is caused by situations (ie, poverty, unemployment, loneliness, etc.) and other forms caused by biochemical imbalances. Generally, I give a therapist six months to help me "get to the bottom" of things, and, if I don't see improvement, go on to another therapist. Hope this helps. Yours truly, Monica

To smile or not to smile is the question
MonicaPz commented on Michele800226's blog entry in Michele800226's Blog
Dear Michele, You have a BEAUTIFUL smile, both open (you have beautiful teeth!) and closed (Mona Lisa style). Please do not let disrespectful people have that kind of control over you. This is a reflection on THEM, not you! You are a very pretty woman, and you look even prettier with both an open and closed smile. A smile means that a person is friendly. Please note women do smile more than men. Also, I asked a friend of mine who is a dentist if men have larger size teeth than women. He told me that men and women have the same size teeth. He is an excellent dentist with many decades of practice, so he should know. So, the size of your teeth will not give away you were born in a man's body. Looking forward to seeing more of your smiling face around here at TGGuide! Yours truly, Monica -
Dear Michele, Am a cisgender mid-butch Lesbian and happen to be allergic to ALL makeup on the market. I get hives and breathing problems when I wear it more than 15 minutes. Interestingly, I can wear ALL brands of lipsticks on the market, even the cheapest, and I get no reaction at all. So, I use lipstick around my conservative family and when I am likely to photographed. Personally, a woman should use makeup according to her age and what she is doing. For the shooting range, I would wear light makeup (if I were a Straight woman) and for a formal affair, I would wear full makeup. Think my mother said it best: "When a woman is young, such as when she is in high school or college, she wears way too much makeup. When a woman is older, and can stand to wear some makeup, she wears none!" Dress and wear makeup appropriate for your age and the task at hand, would be me advice. Michele, like every other woman, you will soon find your voice in this. Yours truly, Monica

Dear Lovely Lisa, As a cisgender Lesbian mid-butch, my heart goes out to you. When I dated (for ten years) the love of my life, a transwoman who identified as a mid-femme Lesbian, the Lesbian community turned against me, saying I was not a Lesbian, but must be a bisexual, and that I was certainly not a butch! Certainly I know who I am! The only comment that I would like to make about your situation is that very likely your wife was attracted to your feminine energy and found you "very different than all the men I have dated in the past." Please allow yourself some time to heal, before dating again, and I would strongly recommend you (and your wife, too), get counseling, even if you feel you don't need it, to be sure of where you stand, before proceeding. My heart goes out to both of you. Yours truly, Monica

How I deal with anxiety and depression +TIPS
MonicaPz commented on Blair's blog entry in Blair Jamie
Dear Blair Jamie, Absolutely LOVE your informative videos, even though I am not transgender (I am a cisgender Lesbian). Would like to add what gets me out of a blue funk is watching funny DVDs and going to a comedy club (sitting in the back) with a friend or lover. Be sure to check in advance that the show is clean, as some comedy club reviews can be raunchy and unkind. Your friend, Monica -
Dear Eve, Please get a second opinion, as this is a very serious accusation. Would as the doctor WHY he thinks so. If after careful thought, you disagree with the doctor, then I would dump the doctor, as your sessions would generate resentment from you and you would not benefit. Your friend, Monica

Dear GenderFiasco, May I suggest you do a search on Google and YouTube, "Makeup for Transgender Women," as well as "Makeup for Transsexual Women." Have found some excellent tips online! Yours truly, Monica

Dear GenderFiasco, Please take your time trying different names before you commit to a legal name change. Repeated legal name changes may get you flagged as a potential fraudster. Yours truly, Monica

Dear Karen and Steph, As a child used to sleep on my stomach, but as a grown woman, especially after I developed large breasts, became a side sleeper. Your friend, Monica -
living Sports car club adventure today
MonicaPz commented on KarenPayne's blog entry in Karen's thoughts
Dear Karen and Roxanne, Have driven a sports car once, a Comaro, the poor man's sports car, and was amazed at how it took off with the slightest touch on the gas! Your friend, Monica -
moving forward This should be interesting
MonicaPz commented on KarenPayne's blog entry in Karen's thoughts
Dear Karen, Am very sorry about the loss of your job, but I feel the space will provide an opening for an even greater opportunity. Know this sounds foolish, but I watch a program, one in English and one in Spanish, where cameras follow a team of bailiffs chasing down criminals who do not show up for court. Can't recall the names of the shows right now, but you may want to do a Google search, and learn about it, even if you ultimately end up rejecting it, at least you have looked at it, and seen if it might be a good fit for you or not. Thank you for honoring the Marine, as I have the highest regard for both or women and men Marines, and, of course, for all who have served. Your friend, Monica -
Brigsby, you may have to put them "on ice" (no contact) for a year or two, so that your and theirs minds can clear. In my case, I put my family on ice for TEN years, and it gave all of us time to get past the toxicity, build our own lives, so that we had less baggage to bring to the table. Want to warn you, though, when you reconnect with your family, after having had put them on ice, there WILL be some drama, and you will have to patiently work through it. Good luck!

Dear Warren, The closest thing to a having your chest rebuilt would be a 'simple mastectomy.' Is there any way to get a surgeon to agree to a simple mastectomy? Your friend, Monica

Dear Karen, The Miata sports car is very popular with women and is known as a ladies sports car! ENJOY! Your friend, Monica

Dear Karen, Have heard it is best to use a small amount of toothpaste, the size of a pea, as the amount shown on the toothpaste/toothbrush ads (a line of toothpaste along the entire length of the bristles on the toothbrush) is way too much and is shown like that for advertising purposes only, to encourage consumers to use more toothpaste, for the companies' benefit, not the consumer's. Your friend, Monica

Dear Karen, You are wise to get the tooth removed and the one behind it, as it seems like there was an infection (abscess) under the tooth, and it usually affects nearby teeth. Having them removed prevented further problems. May I suggest the Sonicare electric toothbrush http://www.philips.com http://www.sonicare.com as I feel that Sonicare electric toothbrushes are the best brand available, and are an excellent investment in you dental health. Get well soon. Yours truly, Monica

1st Endo Appointment Not what I was hoping for.
MonicaPz commented on BenFriday's blog entry in T-Friendly Rex
Dear Ben, Learn all you can about "adrenal fatigue," by googling and YouTubing it. Notice with myself I gain pounds and then inches (or vice versa) alternately, and it is the same when I lose weight. Also noticed recently I am dealing with bloating, which can be caused by glucose intolerance (even by eating too much sweet fruit) and lactose intolerance (eating too much dairy). Have accepted that I am a big woman, and other can or can not accept that. When it comes to dating, I am drawn to women my own size, and I notice people are drawn to friends and partners near their own size. Can understand that with lovers, but not with friends! Go figure!! Ben, you are a handsome man, and I feel that a lot of skinny and thin girls will find you handsome! May I suggest that you develop a talent, such as singing, playing an instrument, joining a band, etc. Those kinds of talents get people away from the physical and into who and what you really are!
