About: The Transgender Guide

Welcome to TGGuide.com! You’ve found your transgender home on the Internet where you can just be yourself. We’re not about gender labels here. You’re free to define yourself or not define yourself, as you see fit. Whether you define yourself as transgendered, transsexual, transvestite, crossdresser, intersexed, androgynous, pre-op, post-op, non-op, female to male, male to female, gay, lesbian, bisexual, asexual, questioning or straight – you’re at home here at TGGuide! Perhaps you just need a place to be free from restrictive roles or stereotypes for a little while. You’ll always be welcome here.

Our goal is to provide the Transgender community with quality resources. We are committed to publishing the most comprehensive site of services and information, accurately representing the Transgendered community, in a positive manner.

We would like to make you feel comfortable here, encourage your feedback and hope you will explore the site. Whether you need help determining your size, coming out to your family, or learning about how the law affects you; the answer is right here! Lori, webmaster of tgguide.comAbout the Webmaster: Hi, I’m Lori, keeper of the website. I want to personally welcome you to the new TGGuide.Com!  We’ve been referring to our latest upgrade of TGGuide as version 2.0 because we’re adding new social networking elements to the site. Browse around and you’ll find plenty of opportunities to interact with others if you would like to do so. It is a lot of work to maintain TGGuide.com and I sure could use some help if you’re so inclined. Send me an e-mail if you’d like to get involved. For me, this is a labor of love. I’m a post-op transgender MtF woman, having completely transitioned in the early 1990’s. I live and work full-time as a woman. In some ways I was lucky but there was no Internet when I first started grappling with feelings of gender dysphoria. It is my goal that nobody will ever have to feel so isolated and alone as we did back in the days prior to the Worldwide Web. You’re likely to find me engaged in conversations on our transgender message forum and occasionally in our transgender chat room. Please feel free to say hello but understand if I’m not able to reply immediately. I juggle many different tasks and do this in my spare time. We’re working hard behind the scenes to build on the magnificent collection of information provided at TGGuide.com. Please don’t hesitate to Email Me to suggest ideas or even become a Moderator for one of the many directories here at TGGuide.com.
