Transgender ID Change in Louisiana
Louisiana State ID Change
If your name has changed, you must go to the Office of Motor Vehicles with your current license, original legal documentation that supports the name change (i.e., certified birth certificate, state-certified marriage license, divorce decree, probate court documents, etc.), and proof of insurance if you own an automobile. You will be required to take and pass a vision test. The fee for this service is $16.
Louisiana Birth Certificate Change
According to the Louisiana Department of Public Health/Vital Records Registry, a person born in Louisiana may change their name and gender on their birth certificate pursuant to Louisiana Revised Statute (RS) 40:62, which can be found here:

The statute allows a person to change their gender if they have “sustained sex reassignment or corrective surgery which has changed the anatomical structure of the sex of the individual to that of a sex other than that which appears on the original birth certificate.” RS 40:62(A)
