Transgender ID Change in Washington

Washington State ID Change

Transgender ID change: How to change your driver's license, id cards and birth certificate in the U.S.To change the gender marker, requires either a letter from the applicant’s physician or licensed mental health care provider, with the status of their treatment. Or a dated letter of intent with the details of one’s transition.

In order to change your name on your driver’s license or identification card, requires a certified copy of any court order related to your name change. You must also update your name on your vehicle title. Changing your name on the title will also change your name on the registration. The fee is $9 for each replaced vehicle title and $10 to replace the old driver’s license or ID card.

Washington Birth Certificate Change

Washington State will issue a new birth certificate for name and/or gender changes
(after SRS has been completed).

name (we can probably just send a copy of the birth certificate)

(4) Address where they should send the new birth certificate (takes 2 to 3 weeks to process)

(5) $20 check or money order for the fee — to Department of Health.

Mail all to:

    • Seattle is a bit far away from me. I live in Ellensburg, Wa. 98926 and would like to meet fellow cross dressers and or trans living in the area. All the dating sites are also persons too far away. If at all possible, would love to join a trans or crossdressing chat room or clubs or places near Ellensburg that are not so far away. Please feel free to use my email address for anyone near me if at all possible.

      • Perhaps Yakima, WA would reveal some potential new trans friends, but I get it. It’s nice to have local friends. A little story… I lived in a mid-sized city. I placed an ad on a trans dating site for trans friends or romance. I met someone who lived about 2 blocks from me. We never progressed beyond friendship but what an interesting coincidence.
