Trans Military Personnel: We Will Fight For You
You have fought for us — Trans military personnel, now we will fight for you. Many of us have served in the armed services, most of us silently. In recent years it became possible to serve openly, however, that right is under attack by the Trump administration. The irony is that these brave trans people have served their country while not one single member of the Trump family has EVER served in any of the U.S. military services.
TGGuide.com stands in solidarity with our transgender brothers and sisters who serve in the Armed Forces of the United States. Many of you have defended freedom abroad, only to return home and find your own freedoms under siege. It is unconscionable. We are on your side.
An Unjust Attack from Within
During the second term of the Trump administration, transgender Americans have been thrust into the center of a political storm. This time, we are faced with a renewed and deeply troubling focus on trans military personnel. Executive actions and Pentagon directives have targeted trans service members for forced removal, denying them the respect and equality they deserve. These actions are not because of misconduct, poor performance, or breach of duty, but simply because they are transgender.
This is not just discriminatory. It is disgraceful. These brave Americans wear the uniform of the U.S. armed forces to protect our freedoms. Trans military servicemen and women follow orders, protect secrets, and risk their lives to defend our nation just like anyone else in the armed forces. And now, because of their gender identity, they are being betrayed by a system they pledged to uphold.
Why Trans People Belong in the Military
There is no credible evidence to support the removal of transgender service members. Multiple studies, including those commissioned by the Department of Defense itself, have confirmed that transgender people serve with honor, skill, and distinction. The American Medical Association, the RAND Corporation, and countless high-ranking military leaders have pushed back against claims that trans personnel somehow weaken military readiness or unit cohesion.
Transgender Americans have always served, often invisibly, but no less courageously. From the frontlines of war zones to the quiet diligence of logistics and cybersecurity, trans service members have shown up, stepped up, and carried out their duties with pride. Removing them based on their gender identity is morally reprehensible. It is a betrayal of the American values that the military claims to defend.
Remembering Connie Anne Spry (Sgt, USMC)
Want to know a real American military hero? Connie Anne Spry a Marine Corps sergeant, served two tours in the Vietnam War. She was a contributor to TGGuide, an uncompromising advocate for LGBT rights, and the epitome of unconditional love.
TGGuide Will Not Back Down
TGGuide.com has a mission. We will not stop fighting until every transgender service member is protected and an honorable service record is restored for those affected by the travesty we are currently experiencing. We reject the politics fueled by bigotry and we reject the scapegoating of our community. Finally, we reject any government policy that says who we are makes us unfit to serve in the U.S. armed forces.
You have fought for us. Now, we will fight for you.
